Electric Wrench Structure

Jun 02, 2024

There are two types of electric wrenches: safety clutch type and impact type.
The safety clutch type is a structural type that adopts a safety clutch mechanism that trips when it reaches a certain torque to complete the assembly and disassembly of threaded parts; The impact type is a structural type that uses an impact mechanism to complete the assembly and disassembly of threaded parts with its impact torque. Due to its simple structure, small output torque, and a certain reaction torque, the former is generally only suitable for manufacturing electric wrenches of M8mm and below; The latter has a complex structure and high manufacturing process requirements, but its output torque is large, and the reaction torque is very small, which is generally suitable for manufacturing electric wrenches with larger specifications.
The impact electric wrench is composed of an electric motor, a planetary gear reducer, a ball spiral groove impact mechanism, a forward and reverse power switch, a power connection device and a motorized sleeve.
Impact electric wrenches are single-phase series electric wrenches and three-phase electric wrenches according to the type of motor selected.
The motor of a single-phase series electric wrench is installed inside a plastic housing. The plastic housing is used as a structural part to support the motor and as an additional insulation for the motor stator. Because when assembling or disassembling threaded parts of the impact electric wrench, there is a large axial tension between the end face of the plastic shell of the device motor and the plastic front cover of the planetary gear reducer and the ball spiral groove impact mechanism of the device, and the planetary gear reducer requires high assembly accuracy, so metal inserts are arranged at the stop, bearing chamber and threaded connection of the plastic shell to enhance the rigidity of the shell, improve the machining accuracy of the plastic shell and the ability of the connection to bear the axial force.
